Could we get giant laser chainsaws H-slot weapon for amaar and maybe a kinetic katana for caldari L-slot and thermal lava axe for gallente and a explosive missle suicide hammer for Min.
I think these would be fun and hillarious to charge an enemy tank with laser chainsaw and just go at it for a seconds and try not to get ran over.
Or if it was a light weapon, scare off a murder taxi with a few swings after you barely dodge it and cut some dude trying to mow you down with a smg. |

All the weapons could have a different attack style.
Right now, the nova knifes have a charge up attack.
Allowing a weak attack while sprinting would be nice.
What if for these other weapons you could have such things like:
Katana - charge up attack give you a lunge attack, standard does a swing angled perpendicular to the line drawn from the center of their hit box to your cursor on the closest drop suit target. Change the melee attack button to kick people to stop them from shooting you in the face.
Axe - Builds up momentum with every swing. repeatedly attacking causes you to lurch a half meter at the angle opposite of the swing, and increases the speed attack speed some small amount till you get your momentum going. Change melee attack button to slam your axe to the ground and stop the momentum you built up, giving you back control of your character.
Hammers - hitting a vehicle with it explodes yourself and does extra damage. Normal hits and misses on drop suits could launch people and do damage based on their velocity and what they hit. Change melee attack button to a fast swing for less damage
Chainsaw - Hold down button to hold chainsaw out straight, uses ammo, needs to be reloaded, change melee button to swing the chainsaw like crazy lunatic for an attack that doesn't consume ammo. |

Also, "afterburners" for infantry to aid in melee or getting to hard to get positions.
Possible module types medium slot
A linear burst after burner for going perfectly straight, gaining lots of momentum, and making it hard to turn till you slow down. Long cooldown.
Short hop jump jet, for dodging murder taxis, jumping up ledges or getting to good vantage points, running away like a coward (especially if some dude with a shotgun is like 2 meters from you and you panic jump and maybe save your dropsuit). Short cooldown.
Slow hover jets with fuel that could get you to hard to get vantage points that would normally require a dropship. Limited fuel so you can't keep moving around, once you get to a vantage point you are stuck at that one till you get more ammo. Also could be used to get the surprise on some fool who thinks he is safe in a whole new way. No cooldown, limited by fuel/ammo
Other idea about fitting afterburners on infantry.
Create a high power slot on infantry. This is where inertial dampeners would go, along with these afterburners. Change the inertial dampeners to be a module just like CCP did with nova knifes. Then add some bonus to inertial dampeners making them more like inertial energy re-purposing devices. Allowing them to convert falling speed and distance into a temporary shield over charge, speed boost, or damage burst. |
